I was particularly fond of an old time trolley that had a working headlight. We had toy buildings and a mountain tunnel for the trains to ride through."<br /><br />HA! Same thing in my family! At first we had the large trains, and then a few years later, the smaller ones came out. And do you know what I loved most about model trains? The smell that the smoke made when it came out of the smoke stack on the engine. I can remember that like it was yesterday!<br /><br />"The set came with this big black transformer with red handles and it usually took some finagling to get the juice running."<br /><br />Yup...I remember that too!<br /><br />We only took our trains out during the Christmas season, from Thanksgiving day until New Years. Then, we put them away for another year.<br /><br />Oh, what a FUN time you must have had visiting that model railroad museum! Thanks for sharing the experience, buddy.
